What a glorious day it was today, nothing but blue dome skies anyone would have thought we hadnt even had a blast until they looked at the Port Hills and southern alps.
I took a drive up the summit road this afternoon to get some photo's, there was about 5cm at the halfway top mark and atleast 15cm on Mt Herbert going by the photo's i took.
My 75-300mm lense captures the covering of snow on the roads around Mt Herbert very well
.
Cheers
Jason.

Bring back the Weather bombs. At least it was thunder/lightning then rather than 8/8 Sc showers and then was longer fine spells between the rain and was warmer too.

A bit late on this one - sorry about the site being offline on Weds night - stupid server crashed (took out a number of other websites too apparently...was offline for a couple of hours I believe). All back up and running now though...thank goodness it wasn't during a storm! Have been in touch with the web-manager to ensure we're better covered for outages.
And Michael - as bad as it sounds - I agree with ya!

We've only had one 'weather-bomb' this winter (first since June 2002). An exciting event yes. However, there was no sunshine at all in Akld that weekend, winds reched near record speeds and temps didn't get much above 13°C, if at all. Did I miss something here?
