Now that I'm just about to go back to work after a holiday, I'm busy planning my next holiday... planning to go to Darwin in October(ish) if work commitments allow. Why Darwin?

I did a January roadtrip in Queensland a few years ago, we missed a couple of good storms in Brisbane - we were further up the coast at Bundaberg and could only watch the anvils. A week or two later we caught an awesome storm at Gympie and watched a great night time electrical display from Noosa.NZstorm wrote:The cb on page 2 looks quite spectacular.
I would like to go to Northern NSW or SE Queensland sometime from November to January.
Have to agree with you on the SE QLD and NSW border region, Lismore and Casino with the Richmond Range just behind them seem to be the 'hot' location.

Will do another long trip in QLD when time and money allows... if I'm allowed to drive there again by my rellies - I collected just about every protected species they had with the front of the rental Commodore last time!
