Looking good Tim, nice and easy to find desired weather information and not cluttered. It is missing the "click here fora daily update...." link down the bottom though, where the records for each day are found.

Re: Davis 6152 Wireless Vantage Pro2 Weather Station
That is great Tim!!!
What OS are you using?
Would be interesting to compare the data now between the two sites on the outskirts of Hamilton. The difference i've observed since moving the station to Jaime's is how much cooler the nights are out there! Daytime temperature maximums seems to be very much inline with what the Airport records and what Hamilton East would've been recording.
Make sure you sign up to CWOP too - gives you great comparisons like this one comparing Graeme's and Arthur's stations in Tokoroa.

Looking forward to the developments! (We should have the repeater working soon at Jaime's, it's going to get some good wind speeds)

Re: Davis 6152 Wireless Vantage Pro2 Weather Station
Ok now I have a thing where all my reading of my pressure readings are higher then any other stations around me?
I used my GPS on my cell phone to give how faw I was above sea level: I have calabrated it to 265 ft.
Looked at google earth and it says 53 Meters or 173 Feet.

try setting a barometer offset in the software or change the altitude on the statiaon until the reading comes in line with other stations in your area

Re: Davis 6152 Wireless Vantage Pro2 Weather Station
Done that its around 1016 atm just changed it... I am going by google earth 4 this so hopefully it is correct.
On the NZ Topo Map atm, Do not attempt to go there on a slow internet connection youll be there 4 hours.
Update: Found the actual height 180 feet, 1nce its up on the roof Ill have to add some meters to it.
Thanks for the help MHO and TokWW.
Very much appreciated.
I didnt think that NZ had a TopoMap quite cool it plots where all the Powerlines go..
For anyone that wants to check there actual height of the ground that you are on... go here: http://www.nztopoonline.linz.govt.nz/website/nztmtopo/
Your height will be in black numbers and usually by a black dot. (Measured in Meters)
1 Meter converted to feet is 3.2808399 so basiclly get the number of meters it is and times it by that. Done

Re: Davis 6152 Wireless Vantage Pro2 Weather Station
The ISS is finally mounted outside, No rain shadows in it's way, or anything to make the readings false.
Went out to buy a 100x100 2 meter High treated timber post today from Placemakers and got some easy-crete concrete to stick it down into a 50cm hole in the ground.
My uncle and me cut down 2 camellia trees that would have cast rain shadows on it, Its all good now!
On sunday the anemometer and solar sensor will be added to the roof to make the most of the wind and sun.
So most of it is all up now, wind is down for the time being.. will post when the rest is added...
Im so glad the ISS is out there no carting it in and outside anymore yay
BTW, Jamie hows the repeater going after I got sunburnt from being on the roof getting the trasmit ID?.

Well done Tim - it looks like a perfect installation for the ISS - and it is so neat and tidy as well...

Re: Davis 6152 Wireless Vantage Pro2 Weather Station
1 Anemometer mounted....
It took 1 hour to get the pole ready for mounting.
And about 15 Minutes to mount it on the roof.
It is approx 1.5 Meters from the roof apex and easily upgradable to make it higher if I wish.
I was thinking for the solar sensor to go ontop of the pole that anemometer is on, but that might cast a shadow on it..so what do I mount it on wood ect??
Dont compare it to the TV Aerial, that thing is huge!
Remember it is not connected.. hopefully ill get it tomorrow...
