Strong southerly
There's a good southerly (SW?) outside at the moment. Dark to the south with some good sized clouds. It just doesn't feel thunderstormy anymore though. Some rain for sure though.

Hi Aaron
Yes, the southerly came through from just after 2pm. I was 19C then about 10seconds later the temperature dropped to 10C.
...not really, just kidding but on TV tonight they will say just how cold it got after the southerly came through. They love mentioning that on the TV weather.
Very messy skies with the change.
It looks as though the colder air is very low to ground surface as there is northerly cloud moving to the south above

Maybe winter at last on Thursday?

Hi Aaron.Aaron J Wilkinson wrote:Yeah, things were messy looking. The wind has calmed a bit now.
It sort of looked promising. I suspect the outskirts of Bank's Peninsula might've got (getting now?) some rain but nothing for Chch, except for the odd stray bit of rain blowen in from somewhere at times.
Yes, maybe on thursday!
Nice line on the 3pm radar ... but then it didn't do anything here
