new met service web site
something not right
extremely slow to load...if at all....
teething problems i guess
from what i have been able to see (using the stop button on the browser), its looking very promising, especialy for current weather conditions around the country (as they now have places like whakatane, Hamilton)!

What browser are you using? Looks OK on Mozilla and IE. Unfortunately, nearly everything is designed for IE these days.wxgirl wrote:Am i the only one who has the pages load with the NZ map about 5cm to the left of the weather symbols and names of the towns/cities???
Before 8am the site was quite snappy, now it's not really responding, after about 5 minutes I still have a blank browser window instead of the Rakaia radar and another window has given "Unable to connect to = mmm@mysqlserv - wise_metdata!"

Looks like a bit more work to do...

Yes, Ben I have just come on line now to check the new site and found out it slow again. that's why I jumped to this forum to see if it was so.tich wrote:It was loading well earlier, but now it's unbearably slow.I hope they sort it out quickly.
Just like something new they are probably having teething problems establishing it up, but once it gets going properly....
....HEY WOW

If you are running Explorer 5.2 or less on a MAC then that is an issue - Safari is fine, Camino is ok and should be better soon (IE has proved a major hassle and will possibly not be fixable).wxgirl wrote:Am i the only one who has the pages load with the NZ map about 5cm to the left of the weather symbols and names of the towns/cities???
