3rd Subtropical Low Pressure System - End of May
Thought it might be a idea to start a fresh thread for this next low pressure system approaching from the NW, which looks set to bring more rain over much of the country over the next few days, particularly the East Cape late Fiday. Rain is already moving in over the Far North.

Sunny and mild though high cloud is streaming from the north,no wind currently today.

unstable here today
have a convergence line between a surface NE wind and a upper level NNW wind
have seen some good updrafts and big cloud swirls

It will be just a deepening "horror" east of the country unlike the last 2 lows.

An extra 15.4mm here overnight taking the MTD total to 126.6mm

Currently wind direction anything but SW,now E,Been ENE,SE today,upper flow NW,Sure we'll know about it when it does arrive

I see GFS is forecasting some instability with the 1-2 June system (sorry this may be the wrong thread...)
