No frost or ice this morning in the Pukke area, just annoying drizzle. Although last night it was bone chillingly cold, I expected a coating this morning but no.. was tucked up in bed very early last night, nasty toothache & a head full of nurofen, left the other 4 to tend to the fire but even they failed so was a bit of a cold shock when I got up around midnight.

Still quite a few needles but not the drift wood look because it not less than 240 degrees.Didn't really get the strong winds expected here today, maybe because it has been WSW instead of SW
Anyway this being a frost thread in a couple of days with the intense anticyclone it could get down to 2 or 3 then.

Slight westerly breeze here as there often is after a snow fall will probably keep the frost from getting to severe here tonight currently 3.5 degrees.

Sorry this is off topic, but a great result for the 'All Whites', especially sweet when you equalise well into time added on. It was a lovely sunny day in Rustenberg today, but cool at 10*C max temp. These sort of conditions will suit the European teams.

The last frost recorded in the UK at Met Office sites was -1.7*C at Braemar, Scotland on the 31st May, although a minimum of -4.4*C was recorded at Tulloch Bridge, also Scotland, on the 25th May. With northerly or north-easterly winds predicted for the next 5 days, patchy frost is again likely in prone areas.

4.0C here with some ice on the windscreen. Coldest morn of the year so far.

I think Akld Aero got down to at least 3.2C and Hamilton Aero -1.9C.

Got down to 1.9 here, no grass frost but some ice on the lower step of the deck and also on the car. Was expecting it to be colder as it was already 3.5 at midnight.

Solid coating of ice on the vehicles this morning & a very light ground frost in the usual places in all the paddocks, definately the coldest of the year so far. Awesome day out there now so the washing machine is in overdrive atm :)
