Auroara display in Auckland.

Had a look at this this afternoon and couldn't see anything because of too much sunlight effecting my screen but now its dark out side i can now see a faint glow there ,so maybe it can be seen from Auckland after all.

I know what some on here will say =; , but its pretty well linked when sun spots occur so do larger quakes on our planet.
I am extremely sceptical....but...for Jase's benefit, there has been a 7.0 in PNG:

Just as i expected and more to follow i suspect too, theres been several magnatude 6's too as can be seen on this link by USGS.

Ive been watching these solar storms for awhile now and every time there is earthquakes on our planet, no coincidence i believe.
The sun has a solar flare cycle every 11 years, the next one to peak is in 2012 :-# .

I wouldn't be surprised, I've seen auroara from Auckland a couple of times, once in the 80's and once in the 90's.

That video of supposed aurora in Auckland didn't even look like aurora to me...not to mention it was overcast that night?

You could get a glimpse of it from Wellington and Christchurch as well. But you do need to get away from city lights.
Probably explains why I couldn't see it from Chch last night, even though the skies were clear.

I thought it was Hamilton City's light refraction on the clouds, LOL
