Re: Ex-TC(s) possibly heading for NZ
I think this band of rain forecast in a few days time sitting near east cape will be very interesting. Its very slow moving and intense and if it tracks further west than the GFS has been suggesting then that will be interesting!

plus, dont forget, its not over for those in the central/lower north island and nelson.
for those of us above that area tho, its worth noting the general feel of the day.. very tropical, lots of moisture in the air, and fairly gusty. all hints that something much stronger is nearby and spinning wildly. had it moved this way, it would be a different story!

Looking at 2pm radar seems everywhere but CHCH is getting good steady heavy rain up the east coast. Everywhere blue except CHCH that is yellow.

By phone from Ashburton where it is raining, humid, northerly wind blowing flag out straight. Total overcast with some low raggy clouds.

As its starting to look like these 3 Lows are all meeting up . As the southerly moves up the country in the early hours of the morning an meeting with the remnants of Zelia is there a possibitie of thunderstorms developing for the wellington region. Its overcast here in Wellington at the mo an really muggy

Hot and humid here in Wellington. Can't wait for the rain to come, the backyard is looking pretty brown.
