Re: Forum Talk
There may be a few members without access to the site after a DNS change to a new server. They'll be transferred when their local DNS resolver cache refreshes in due course... or they can flush it themselves by going into command prompt (Windows).

Re: Forum Talk
Any luck Foggy? Index page takes quite a long time to appear for me this morning when I enter the site (54s) yet loading pages within the forum after loading the site initially seem fine...

Re: Forum Talk
I'll keep a watch for further problems as it's been okay the last week or so. I've turned gzip on which changes in which it handles loading pages from server to user.

Re: Forum Talk
Sorry about the lengthy outage all, maintenance was meant to be complete by 5AM however they had to extend it by quite a bit due to a "technical issue".

Re: Forum Talk
Thanks for that, Will. I thought my wife had hi-jacked the computer saying "You are always on that bloody weather forum"
Even though the forum has been a wee bit quiet of late, especially over the past few days, it would be nice to know, that an outage notice maybe given for maintenance etc., what ever, so we know what's happening

Re: Forum Talk
There's been a bit of talk of the upload limit of 160kb, but I put it up a few months ago. However I had it set at 'MiB' instead of 'KiB', so I've adjusted it to 450kb... hopefully this will work.
Can somebody else please test an upload above 160kb on here?
Thanks!

Re: Forum Talk
No, I've never had one of those, and, it's the wierdest thing... because I was looking for the Forum Talk area to do my post re: Off Topic (apologies Fogs and Mods ) for doing a new thread, it was not intentional, but, for the life of me it wasnt the FORUM TALK thread was not at the top where it usually is... it must be the board gremlins...David wrote:I clicked whos online just before and got this message (using FF 3.6):I have seen this in the past too but didn't say anything as it usually never happens

Re: Forum Talk
Huh? Have no idea why it would do that, could you possibly get me a screenshot of the problem? Thanks.DT-NZ wrote:it wasnt the FORUM TALK thread was not at the top where it usually is... it must be the board gremlins...

Must be one of the style components that is failing adapting to the latest phpBB version (3.0.7 which I did a couple of months ago had quite a few changes) But I've yet to do the style changes as it's one huge list and I keep putting it off.David wrote:I have seen this in the past too but didn't say anything as it usually never happens
