Looks like a partially closed eye is now in and out of view out to sea from the webcam. That cam is now probably starting to get inner eyewall gusts. Hope the power can stay on.

Looks a relatively calm, breezy scene there right now. Wonder what the dawn will bring for the people of Noumea and elsewhere.

Niran was declared extratropical by MetService around 2pm today. JTWC has Ex-TC Niran about 300km WNW of Raoul Island at 4pm today, so the remnants of Niran will likely pass right over 'the remnants of' Raoul Island later today.
