Still having to log back in every time I navigate away & return. Would be great if you could try and resolve this as I know it's frustrating many members.

Frustrating for me too. Trying to look for a solution for this.tgsnoopy wrote:Still having to log back in every time I navigate away & return. Would be great if you could try and resolve this as I know it's frustrating many members.
And the Tapatalk issue has not been resolved - they have deleted the old listing without my consent and told me 'to make a new listing' after they verified the domain was mine.
Great. The Tapatalk code currently on here is pretty much legacy (2009) so of course the new code is quite a bit different - and I just proceeded to break everything with the new code.

Considering starting afresh with the software and modifications so we can finally upgrade and run on phpBB 3.2.1 (currently on 3.0.10). This would happen sooner than later to get Tapatalk working.

Are you definitely landing on the .nz domain on your PC?Richard wrote:On the laptop i'm logged in full time, on the pc i have to log in each time, how does that work?
I have noticed you stay logged in on this domain, but if you load up the old domain (.org.nz) you have to log in each time.

Re: Forum Talk
I can happily announce that the forum software has been upgraded successfully to the latest version of phpBB3 to 3.2.1 !
I have a to do list - and in order of priority:
-Install Tapatalk and get that going again
-Install styles - subsilver2, proDark and SF_Glacier_Lite (was the default) (though not sure if the latter is compatible with this latest release of phpBB)
-New spambot countermeasures
-Redirect permanent in apache config for .org.nz --> .nz
-Install quick reply modification
A great addition is the ability to now drag and drop images straight into the reply box.
More info about the release can be found here: https://www.phpbb.com/about/launch/

Tapatalk is now working!
The forum has to be found again and followed. Just search 'New Zealand Weather' and it's the first result.

Re: Forum Talk
Styles Carbon (like the old proBlack), subsilver, and prosilver Special Edition have been installed and ready to use. The latter is default.

Re: Forum Talk
Nice new looking concept but still have to log on each time I want to get in.
Also NZ Thunderstorm Society appears in other browsers when I'm logged in.
Never seen that before.

Great work Willoughby!
I can't see the option for changing the style in the UCP. I think there's a board setting for "override user style with default" that needs to be set to No for it to appear...

This will be fixed with a permanent redirect shortly. But please update your bookmarks as the .org.nz domain will stop working after August 2018.NZ Thunderstorm Soc wrote: Tue 12/09/2017 22:07 Nice new looking concept but still have to log on each time I want to get in.
Can you expand on this? Not quite sure what you mean. Thank you!NZ Thunderstorm Soc wrote: Tue 12/09/2017 22:07 Also NZ Thunderstorm Society appears in other browsers when I'm logged in.

Re: Forum Talk
That probably explains why as when I got back to my hotel yesterday to check the forum there were no postings for the day which I thought was quite unusual.
