The biggest change is the navigation bar at the top which get you to all the things like private messaging, control panels and now links.
Hopefully it's enough to sway those on the old-school subsliver2 style to this one The header will eventually have rotating images...
Feedback would be appreciated...
Also a special thanks to those users that donated to the forum fund recently!
I dont. I hate change, just for the sake ot it.
...but I will get used to it
It's a shame that some of the smilies don't have sound with them like - "Uh -Oh"
The style was designed for IE7+.. but looks like the bug is within a CSS. I've raised the issue on phpbb.com, so hopefully I will get a reply soon.
This is the reply I got,
"IE6 is simply incapable of rendering code of today's standards.
There most likely isn't a fix without running CSS hacks specific to IE6 and isn't worth it because IE6 is 2 versions behind anyway."
Soo perhaps an upgrade to IE7 would be good advice.
I believe Internet Explorer 8 which is just on it's release candidate now will be Microsoft's first 100% compliant web-standard browser.
Good stuff, Foggy...probably won't be able to upgrade to a higher version of IE at work...I use Firefox at home and no worries at all with the drop down lists...thanks for the info!
I notice there are 2 different smilies for some emoticons but they both show up the same when you post a message ( the 2 laughing ones, the 2 sunglasses ones, the 2 confused ones, etc.)

I'll look into this now - when I loaded them across it kept their properties.

I've just added a MOD which automatically adjusts for DST based on the time zone of the hosting servers, not forum software so fingers crossed this method works!
Edit: I'm not sure exactly what the implications for users that have the timezone NOT set to GMT+12, I assume it could mean some funky DST changes inline to the changes here with NZ time.
Some for the statistician. Glanced over 2008's site statistics...
weatherforum.org.nz served up exactly 1,942,664 individual page loads with 59,431 unique IP addresses or visitors logging on. (About a third of these will be spambots I reckon )
Every 11.7 minutes we get a user referred from Google Search looking for info they need.
Google holds a whopping 86% of all search queries linking onto here. Yahoo! holds just 0.29%.
July was the busiest month with 8251 unique visitors due that particulary wild month of weather!

Foggy, could you increase the Signature banner size up to 91 Pixels, WD doesn't like shrinking it down.
Juts wanted to list the current conditions....hehe
