Cold change forecast spot on.

We got down to -0.7° here in Omarama this morning.

Anybody else see a big drop overnight?

A little light snow yesterday above 1500m and still there today.

Not very warm, high overcast skies and 11.4 here

No frosts for towns this morning up here, dropping to 6c here this morning.

Waiouru looks like it will have a frost tomorrow morning ;)

Over this side if the water ( Melbourne) a warm night 22.5° min, second warmest night for 2005, currently 32.5° ( 1 pm ) Cool change later in afternoon.

Down to 14C here last night, enjoying a sunny warm day. :D

I didn't see any new snow here. The lower temperatures are welcome though! :-)

It was most probably too dry an airstream to bring much snow to the mountains, eg the showers in Canterbury I think were just coastal. It was certainly a cold airflow though, with freezing levels supposedly getting as low as 1400m in the south of the North Island, well below normal for the time of year.

My coldest temp since only Dec 20th, 5.4C.

Just back from a week on the Gold Coast... 29/30C everyday and a couple of days in Sydney. A lot cooler in Sydney but happy to see a thunderstorm, especially one at 8.45am in the morning. :D
There is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes.
