Heavy rain ahead for the North?
For Thursday - Friday, a shallow tasman low is set to bring in a heavy tropical airmass with Northerlies which hopefully will bring some good rain to Northern areas. Fingers crossed. GFS agrees.

looks like the nelson/marlbrough area will also be in for a drentching, 50mm+ in some areas
