hey, you aucklanders, when there looks to be a good CB going to develop in the area, we should get together for a storm chase meeting....been over a year since the last meeting!
rather than all come out this way, i will come up to auckland, etc./...
"whales mouth" photo i see there .....

you aucklanders, when there looks to be a good CB going to develop in the area, we should get together for a storm chase meeting....
Could do a drive into Waikato or further south on a day when storms might develop. This sat is possible or mid next week looks better.

also too, just to add, i have a company car which means that no-one (within reason) has to pay for gas. Its a wagon and can comfortably fit 4 people in it.

Mid next week is looking quite good at the moment
Would be great to get a couple of vehicles and some radio communication which I could arrange.. So yes I'm keen too!

Go if you can Foggy! I'd go but I'm sort of down here in Chch!!
I'll come up some time though.
Your never too young, well I guess you could be too young but your old enough, I hang round with the likes of John Gaul / Steven Graham and the occasional Bob crowders. lol. Amoungst my other friends of course, nothing wrong with having some more experienced mates.

anyway foggy, we'll need an experienced co-driver anyways to show us round (although i am ex tronian myself), and also some cheap pizza afterwards

i just need to convince the boss i need a day out, LOL
bit of a boil up occured to the west of northland...and a spiral into a small low center...
now that i have my lightning counter up higher and not getting false strikes from lights in the house, looking for a lightning cell to monitor/count
latest models show the low to the west is gonaa hand around...got be some big thundery systems somewhere next few days

Mid next week could be okay for thunderstorms. May also see some action over the next few days if there is sufficient daytime heating (not loads of middle or low cloud like today).

Heat cloud for Africa down this way, and a little humid, but no rain. Quite stultifying really.

Still have the high cloud streaming down from Thundery Cb's well to our NE.
