Lake Ohau Weather Station Online...At Last...

Mostly finished today, although still lacking a decent Stevenson screen, so don't give the temperature reports much credence for now. Wind readings are already of interest...blowing westerly there while it's easterly everywhere else, which is a common evening occurrance.

Hamish often shuts his PC down at night, so we may lose overnight readings until I can bung another 24/7 machine out there.

The only drawback to living in a place where travelling almost anywhere means a long drive, is that you don't get to drink beer very often... ;) :(

my cousin's late husband, 'tuppy' Johnson was the proprieter of the Omarama tavern for many years during the 1970s.
I don't know if this is relavent, but I thought I would mention it :)
