The rain's been threatening for a few days, and it's here at last.

Yes, urinating down, very heavily way down south, eastern Otago/South Canterburury way according to the 7pm radar :D
Hope this system dosen't weakon and moves this way instead of out east and onto the sea where precipitation is of little use to the land.
There's nothing much coming up weather coming up in the oncoming week so something like this moving up here could be usefull before the boredom sets in. :)

It was a non event down here - I recorded 2mm rain, 20.3 temp and very little wind - when the change came through the wind that was supposed to be 'fresh southwesterly' according to MS, wasn't. And it was another case of inland areas getting more rain than the coast.

Southerly came through here from 2020hrs as the low moved over us. Nothing much except for some Sw breezes and some low cloud.
Shower activity becoming limited according to the 10pm radar :(
Might get something in the wee small hours but I'm NOT putting any money on it ;)

The rain didn't last long, not even an hour, but very welcome it was.
