Do you really hate it when someone throws a snowball at you.
I get annoyed at the media when ever they show footage of a snowfall, they show what they call 'people having fun in the snow" by throwing snowballs at each other.
I get really irritated by that.
If someone did that to me, I'd probably "kill them", well, yell obscene language at the them.
To me that is NOT FUNNY
There must be other people on this forum who would agree with me on this
I don't like snowballs being thrown at me either they are hard and sometimes dangerous especailly like snow this morning frozen.
I like to let the snow be see the magic of it unwind without damaging it too much until days like today where it starts to melt.
I could also spend hours outside just watching the flakes fall.
I was actually thinking today and yes it did hurt about why we are so happy when it snows where did it originate from was it the happy christmas spirit look scene from America that has done this.
Or is it just simply bcoz it's such a nice thing to see happen and rarly happen as well.
Food for thought see how long it takes to digeust
Cheers
Jason.
While we were on Roys Peak (near Wanaka) in 1998, a friend threw a really dense snowball, practically just ice, and it hit me in one ear. The damn thing has never been the same, I've lost some hearing in itand suffer a recurring infection.
So I believe it's up to us to get snowballs banned by the Geneva Convention. We do it for Humanity!

It's mainly the fact that when one hits you when you are not aware of it going to hit you, it gives you a fright and if it hits the back of your neck and runs down your collar, it is not a nice feeling.
....and everyone laughs at you

No More Snowballs NZ
And if the person who threw it just spent five minutes beforehand lovingly compacting it until the snow reached the density of lead, and the hardness of depleted Uranium, then it'll be doctors and nurses laughing at you when you wake up on the gurney going into the operating theater.
Snowballs are an abomination and a crime against mankind.
Our property at West Melton has now officially been declared a snowball throwing free zone, possibly the first area in the country to be declared as one.
Anyone caught throwing snowballs there will be.....

I was in Chicago in the winter of 1967/68 - very few snow events, far fewer than usual. But I didn't see many locals playing with the snow - perhaps after the massive "snow of '67" the previous season they'd had enough of it.
