Let's see; Carlaw Park (abandoned), Ericsson Stadium, Eden Park, Albany, and they want to build a new shark pool on the waterfront, reducing the Port capacity? The most interesting architectural comment I've heard *against* that spot is it'd create a very large inward-facing, mostly-unused facility on a prime waterfront spot that has great outward-facing vistas. :-k ](*,) [-(

I don't think it should go ahead I think it should be built somewhere else like Queenstown or Hamilton or even Dunedin for that matter.
Auckland already has two stadiums why a third  .
I am not going to add any more fuel to the fire here though [-( .

Probably need a covered stadium given the un-outdoor weather experienced anytime of the year :P

I think its a great idea - ideally located in the middle of a tourist hot-spot and close to all amenties :), not to mention the views.

I like the waterfront concept but the way its being put forward is perhaps a bit flawed. Problem is though, unless a project like this is 'rammed through' it would never happen anyway! Looks like it will be Eden Park redeveloped after todays vote. :)
