Hurricane Flossie is currently a cat 2. She is forecast to pass south of the islands.

Yes hurricane season hasnt really happend in the gulf of mexico this year until now for some reason.
Sounds like a beast of a supertypoon is heading towards Taipei with a predicted 180mph thats up to 290kmh, currently a category 5 and still strenthining.
