As it is generally clear at the moment, 53% of the sun being covered will probably appear as if a cloud has gone across the sun to most people, who won't notice. More info in the link.

Just was about to put a thread in about this eclipse too.
Started at exactly 16.48 hours. indentation at 9 o'clock position by the moon.
Excellent viewing conditions.
Looking through double welding glasses at the moment.

Looked like a mid winters sunny day,Hopefully its supressed the SW as it had changed direction about 5.30 and looked as though it was Rising

I thought the deeper blue sky and weaker sun late afternoon was very strange.

This photo I took through a dark welding glass covered with a dark green piece of glass as well.
The welding glass alone let too much light through to upset the focus and contrast.
