If you are looking for something to do this Saturday, pop on down to the Sullivan Ave campus for the inaugural Trades EXPO 08!

Hosted by the Trades Innovation Institute, the Trades EXPO has been designed to allow prospective students to explore the campus’s professional facilities and workshops including automotive, carpentry, electrical engineering, plastics, painting and decorating, welding, joinery, plumbing and more.
Proudly sponsored by Woodford Glen, the Trades EXPO is giving people the opportunity to see the institute’s workshops in action and to try out some of the facilities and equipment for themselves, from making a photo frame to having a go on a digger simulator and crane.
Throughout the day the campus will be buzzing with activity. Free sausage sizzles courtesy of The Edge and The Rock will be available, Woodford Glen will be giving away tickets to race meetings, tutors and students will be available to talk about their experiences of “study and life on campus” and 2009 Trades programmes and application forms will be available.
If practical “hands-on” work is your passion and you are considering a career change or want to turn your career aspirations into realistic goals, then CPIT’s Trades EXPO will not disappoint.
