Its Barack

Well done to the American people for making the right choice in their election...truly a historic and remarkable victory not only for the Democratic party, but for the American people as a whole...I truly hope he (Barak Obama) and Congress can fix the financial meltdown the States is in, and then do their best to fix/clean up the mess Bush has made...

He probably will. An intelligent guy and a very good speaker.
I just hope that he will survive the 8 years of Presidency and no harm will come to him.

Yes, I think its good for the USA to elect him...a change in direction etc

its amazing how Hollywood movies come true (they have depicted a African American presidented alot in movies!)

I hope the Special Service are up to the task of protecting him. Already one thwarted (planned) assasination attempt.

I wish it was him and a certain lady running, it could have been an eye opener.

As for the movies, it was inevitable that eventually an African American citizen would get the top job. I just hope his enthusiasim and courage offsets his lack of experience and he does a good, no make that a great job.

I hope we start to see Iraq and Afghanistan withdrawls and those countries stabilise ok.

Fingers also crossed for a good outcome to our own elections.

I can finally say, after 8 loooooong years, that I am proud to be an American once more :-) (With a Kiwi heart, of course!) I even went out of my way to watch the inauguration ceremonies....what a speech...I, certainly, was moved. :D

16 months to get US troups out of Iraq, hope he can do it and it doesn't cause total civil war.

In any case it's good to see him in office over there. Good riddance to George W Bush.
