I am thinking of buying a weather station.... The question is what 1?????
I want to get 1 that does not cost the earth but be decent in features.
Im thinking max cost $600.
And I want it linked up with weather-display and want a storm alert feature on it.
Please don't recommend La-crosse stations as i have heard from people that they give out inaccurate readings.
Can anyone advise....
Thanks
Tim
With Wired stations does the cat5 cable supply enough to power the meters? i know on standard computers it hardly gives out power.
Really I don't mind, wireless is convenient but that means I will have to get on the roof every 1-2 months to swap the batteries, but if wired meters require batteries then ill go for wireless.
you could also check out say the Davis WMII , but you need to factor in the cost of having to get the data logger for the PC connection
also check out the Oregan Scientific WMR968 station

Thanks for that, thinking about the Oregan Scientific stations but now i have stumbled upon the WMR200.
What one is better? I cannot seem to find a reseller for those Oregan Scientific stations apart from the Australian one.
Does it have to get imported?
Thanks Manukau heads observer!
