Yes, the spring southwest pattern is on the way out for now.

Humid for the north next week, quite a lot of instability showing up on GFS .

Looks like it's gonna be a bit damp for our wedding tomorrow, but it's mostly inside, so it won't worry us.. Looking forward to more NW weather, in the mountains next week!

We busted our gut to get the hay under cover because of the impending southerly, but now that we have done so, it probably won't rain.
Just like your wedding tomorrow. The weather probably won't be that bad afer all.

An overcast morn in Auckland with 16C. Looks like not too bad a day for the Grey Lynn festival. Thats how important Grey Lynn is, it has its own festival! A few light sprinkles of rain later however. Dewpoints will lift to 16-17C this afternoon in wake of the warm front.

Certianly looks moist and potentially unstable next week for much of the NI and possible inland SI. But thats for Decembers thread.

And im in shorts and teeshirt. Think i might have to move inland someday, might be cold in winter but it gets much more sun than down on the coast in summer.

Yes a warm, muggy 17-18C night here, but just 2mm since yesterday bringing the months total to a mere 16mm. :(

I see temps at Napier Aero shot up from 13C at 6am to 23C by 8am this morn - currently 25C and only forecast for 21C today.

Herald reading is from Auckland Airport, a cool location on a Sou Wester.
The TV max-temps are based on whichever is the highest of 4 Akld sites that MetService monitor.

From personal observations, I think Akld Aero represents a very good average of temps for the greater Akld region (although not for rainfall). But hey, I guess Joe Public is only interested extremes and would probably complain if they thought the TV temps weren't high enough. :)
