[quote="NZstorm" Must really annoy all those chasers over there having a big H stuck over them at the moment.

Thank goodness that you or I are not over there storm-chasing at the moment, whatever
...by the way, Steven, that TVNZ guy did contact that storm chaser from ChCh, who I had never heard of and he's not on this forum or a NZTS member, and apparently, I think that they have gone over there ...?

A chase trip to USA needs to be atleast 3 weeks to cover for the eventuality of a big slow moving ridge. The magic of the US plains is though, when storms do develop, they deliver the goods.
Re TVNZ, I don't think so. I had an email from Wayne Johnson this week and they were still looking.
Here is a link with nice pics of a tornado in Germany this week.

A chase group from Australia(Jimmy Dejura and thunderbolttours) have been over there since end of April. I nearly joined this tour. Anyway, this URL has some nice pics on it that they have taken thus far.

I know of a fellow who runs a car yard in West Auckland who goes every year.
I've been toying with the idea of going for several years but have decided to go rot on a tropical beach instead this year in June... also maybe go to Darwin for the start of the wet around October / November to go see 'Hector' up close.

...probably with someone else who is inclined the same way as me.
I would get so annoyed with those "Yanky Boys and their toys" type of scenario
