As with Gary's post of Not much action Happening here...
it looks like not much interesting weather happening from now
Higher pressures are moving in.
Not much happening over the next few months but Augie Auer, according to this afternoon's talk on 3YA this afternoon, is promising some exciting weather in August, he would do, it has something to do with his name

I wouldn't rule out plenty of interesting weather over the next few months - predicting a few months ahead isn't easy. (remember the forecasts back at the end of last year that said the dry spell over large parts of NZ would last until early autumn) One thing I do feel will probably happen is that it will be colder than recent winters - perhaps we will see more icy oubreaks in the style of last July's polar blast. (well maybe not that extreme)

I reckon it's a bravel soul who attempts to predict the weather beyond the afternoon! Brave or foolhardy...haven't actually decided yet...!
I think you might be correct regarding the low temperatures...all the experienced old hands around here are predicting a bone-cracker, much of it based upon the plentiful elderberry! Bless us, the amateur scientists. But we do have a fair amount of snow around right now, and the ski businesses are jumping for joy at the prospect of making money for much of this year.
The latest prediction from NIWA is for an average winter, the only exception being possibly slightly cooler in the west due to sea surface temps cooler than normal. That means the North island is in for a wet winter. A normal winter in the North Island is wet. May looks like it will be wetter the normal for Auckland as we have already around 100mm this month. Average May rainfall is about 130mm.

Yes that is interesting,I like to see how far you can see the planes for as well,Also when its clear you can see the stars at night too which I like and of course the sun in the day.
Who likes looking at orange/white clouds racing one another at night and indoor weather with it
Well thunder and lightening may be a different story but Gales and shower cloud No

Interesting to see various vapour trails from aeroplanes passing overhead over the city today.
