Might be another 25C day here, just waiting for the morning cloud to burn off again. Looks like it might clear soon.

"28 Nov: As it's close to the end of the month, I had a look at how this November compares to the past 10 I have records for. It has been the warmest to date with 14.8C. The previous record being an average temperature of 14.5C in 2008. It may be the least windy I've recorded and rainfall is in line with the average of 52.5mm to date."

The above is quoted from Jeffs Weather Station by Jeff himself. Doesnt seem like 52mm this month, although over 45mm of this fell over a 2 day period and a total of 5 rain days for the month. October had 21.5mm, September 42mm. So a total of around 115mm for spring here. It certainly seems like sunshine hours have been up here though and thats probably reflected in the warmet november in the past 10 as Jeffs said.

0.4C warmer than normal here so far, and with 2 more days to be added to that of warmer than normal weather will most likely end up being 0.5C warmer than normal for me here

Climate Explorer graphs to 27th show a large area of the South Island over 2C above average, and most parts of NZ above. Sunnier than average almost everywhere.

Hi Brian, based on 1971-2000 averages, Akld Aero's mean-temp is also currently running about 0.4C above normal _b , while just up the road, NIWA's Mangere site is typically about 0.3C below normal q- .

And Akld Aero may have only recorded 22mm so far, but Mangere has recorded 39mm, while city-fringe dweller Ricky has 47mm  (still all well below normal though).

Nov temp records are already falling in inland South Island, along with sunshine records in the lower-central North Island.

Interesting to see the temperature didnt budge much today, but did further inland.
Even up at work we had hardly any wind and only managed 25C, but yes that low cloud came in once i got home around 5:30pm and still is overcast.
Mild though on 18C.
I cant remember many Novembers being this warm and certainly up for sunshine hours, on the plus side everyone loves this weather but if this looms we could be in for some severe droughts come January.
Get these highs to naff off over the chatams way then we can have weather at both ends of the country _b
