The vehicle on this link has been engineered and built for the purpose of filming tonadoes close up for an IMAX movie. (nutters)

It looks like something you would drive off a wharf in a BirdMan competitionNZstorm wrote:The vehicle on this link

Does it have a large Garmin suction mount on the bottom?

There is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes.

There was a big tornado outbreak in USA today.
The photo on this link is only a few hours old, taken by a UK chaser in Kansas.

I notice there has been a big cb over SE Texas last day or two. It would seem Geoff Mackley is on this storm as he posted a lightning photo on
his website today from that cb.

Storm still there tonight on satellite.

Wish I was there, under that supercell.

Same here Steven, cool photo on Geoffs site.
I note he's getting a new tuck for storm filming in NZ, can that be warranted, getting a big brand new truck for doing that type of stuff in NZ where storms (be it thunder, hurricane) don't happen much, in terms compared to the US or Australia. Then again, I can't say much. I want my future truck for going around NZ to be a hummer!!
I guess a truck like that would be usefull though, with the heafty cameras he uses, mounting one on the back of a truck like that would make things alot easier. And if it was somehow covered, it would make for a very nice portable filming unit.
