Thats a pitty Gary. You put a lot of work into your Weather station and website.

Re: F/S Complete Davis Vantage Pro2 Station
hmmm i was just tlaking to my dad about how im going to move the station to my house. He said he will miss not having the consol in the office, so i said i would get him a consol and the station send to mine and his. I wasnt that keen on getting a new one, so if your stuck for people buying the full package then i would happily purchase your consol. I am really considering getting one of your webcams and connecting that up.

Jamie, I suspect he got his from the U.S.
The console wont work, unless you take it into Davis to switch frequencies. Of which they will charge like wounded bulls.

if I wasn't saving for the US next year and had been given first option it would have gone already.

How old is the equipment? Time spent out in the weather is obviously a factor in the remaining life of the sensors.

Hi Allan
its approx 3 - 4 years off the top
from what I can see it still looks like new - no weather deterioration

Re: F/S Complete Davis Vantage Pro2 Station
FYI - I have purchased this, Gary (bless him), will re-establish it at his place for an indefinite period as I do not have a suitable location for it. Hopefully it will be online again in the next day or so.

Re: F/S Complete Davis Vantage Pro2 Station
Well that fell over as the laptop has basically cooked itself - goes for about 2 - 20 secs then click and instant off (crash) and that was only doing updates with no load on it
So I am most disappointed
Anyone out there with a XP or later laptop they care to donate for the cause?

I don't know yet, I have to go out to Te Puke this morning, so I'll pick it up then and take a gander.

Re: F/S Complete Davis Vantage Pro2 Station
Well, doing the dis assembly, cleaning & reassembly late at night isn't something I'd recommend. Sadly it is still shutting down, and the fan is going ok, even with a menial task like playing Freecell it dies after only a couple of minutes.
I do have a Netbook here running the TOA Lightning Detector, I might relocate it to Gary's so it can run the Weather Station too. Still have another laptop here with no RAM and dead screen which might be coaxed into running yet.
