7C minimum here in Waddington 50km inland from Christchurch and 300m asl, 6C warmer then the airport, no surprises there...

It was about -5C at Castle Hill car park this morning but that's at 730m.

-1.6°C this morning. then clouded over, but it's all cleared now to full sunshine again.

Going to freeze like the buggery here tonight, 5C already and the sun hasn't even gone down! Been the hardest 2 frosts of the year here the last 2 mornings, strange strange strange!!

Hasn't been dipping below zero here but have had to put the cloth over the vege garden. Have had ice the last two mornings with a low around 2. Strangly the wind isn't dropping so its blowing 10km/h. If that was to drop then we would be in for some good frosts.

Bit warmer this morning with -5.5deg,i see the MS recording station Culverden for the third day is saying -1deg,but ive long believed its not accurate,even trickytiger's gauge has been showing much colder and he's gauge is 5 meters off the ground.

yesterday was -1.7°C.

first technical air frost since some time in mid July. Thave have been a few days were it got below 1 but never dropped below 0. Thismorning we had -0.3 so hardly anything to write home about but interesting at the substatial lack of frosts this year.
