PM2.5 particles were above 700mcg/m3 on Saturday according to government Chinese data. The WHO 'safety level' is 25mcg/m3!! The roof of the U.S. Embassy recorded a peak of 886 micrograms, they labelled it 'beyond index'.

from the smoke from NZ coal that Solid Energy exports to China, via Lyttelton.
