Bali tornado

Unread post by NZstorm »

A tornado in Bali on 11th December. An unusual place to get a twister I would have thought.

Looks like a waterspout that has come ashore and the tropical heat kept the thing going over land.

Clip is interesting after 40seconds.

Its a powerful tornado for the latitude 9deg. Not a part of the world I expected to see this. But a quick look on line shows they do happen in Indonesia from time to time.

There is a second video on this link taken from ground level and a still showing the funnel. I do not think tornadoes are a common occurrence in this locality, but these are a very clear videos.
