Here is a picture of my new "Stephenson's screen" which can be portable if required.
The sensor is under the pillow, which is white and contains no warming factor if the sun should shine on the sensor. It is very well ventilated, but sadly not up to height levels as required for accurate recordings but never mind, OK until I get a new set-up when we move to Geraldine.
Tomorrow I will post up a photo of the old Screen which apparently came from the Paraparaumu airport north of Wellington and show you how shagged it is especially after the gale NW winds which destroyed it after the event in September 2013.

A cabinet maker would be able to repair that fairly easily. Try to find one in the Geraldine area when you move, maybe a backyard guy who won't charge an arm and a leg.

Good idea, there Tony but there isn't enough room for a screen of that size compared to here.
...but then...something to think about

Re: My New "Stephensons Screen"
Agree with Tony. I think new standard Stephenson Screens cost about $1,500, so well worth restoring.
Mine was salvaged from a roadside refuse collection. Just needed to replace and router some parts of the louvre frames, along with a bit of paint-stripping and TLC…
