I was on the Gulf Coast, USA in 2017 and new apartment towers were being built right on the beach. Makes you wonder how these get consented.

coastal erosion of the beaches and headlands here on the Manukau harbour is accelerating and on the coastline
its very noticable in my lifetime

Be interested to know why Alaska and a few places in the Pacific Northwest are sea levels falling, plate tectonics?
