Got as low as +1.6 at 4.30am before the cloud came in, so close to a frost here

Frost here this morning but went off as high cloud cover moved in from the west. Down to minus 1.3C.

Down to -2.3deg this morning

Good white frost here this morning, down to minus 2.9C.

Reached -4 at 3.00am then started warming as the NW wind started shafting the cold air trapped in the basin,+ 5deg by 7.00am.
Rangiora on -5.7 at 7.00am

I think this one is for Friday (15th July) morning - a reading of -10.6°C at Mt Cook Aerodrome. Nice snow cover as well.

-2°C this morning, lawn white. Frosty yesterday also.
Another beautiful clear pre-sunrise sky earlier with purple light above the red.

Good frost here this morning. Still remnants of it around on the lawn despite the NW cloud cover. 2C at the moment.

Frosty overnight here with it dropping down to minus 0.6C.

Last chance tonight to actually drop below 0 in the month of July on my station. The Ruakura site has not either, after not doing so in June. Looking back it's not unknown for that site to not go below 0 in a winter month, but two in a row would be unusual.

Only reached +1.1, so based on the incoming pattern, no sub zero for July, will be a first for my station.

For the last 12 years on my station the monthly extreme minimum for July has ranged from -1.4C to +1.7C with a mean of +0.6C. Lowest this month is 3.8C and it does look like it won’t get close to that the rest of the month

Ice/frosting on truck windscreen this morning with air temp above zero being 0.6C early this morning.

Nothing close to a frost this year so far at my location.

still could get a late frost, late August or Early september if a cold snap and then a big high with light winds and clear skies
but..but the warmer than normal sea temperatures are moderating things a lot
at this rate we will be able to grow mangoes in Auckland soon

That's where i dont mind the clagg this time of year, had a few cloudy nights here so no frosts, This area has gone from what was frost burnt grass over winter 20 years ago to grass that now grows slowly.

Just missed a first sub zero since about 20th June, low +0.3
