I spotted this baby just as I came out of work at 17:45, but by the time I reached a spot with a decent view (South Brighton in this case) it was out to sea. Better than missing out completely on the day I guess ...

I saw this cloud yesterday (8 Nov 11) Looking East from Ruby Bay, Tasman Bay, South Island. Im still learning a lot about weather (and i LOVE clouds) But what are these comb-over type clouds called??

October Cb's in the south
October 12th, Invercargill. Late afternoon thunderstorm: looking NE as Cb approaches from the NW, then 45 minutes later as it departs to the SE. Temp fall from 16C to 8C, gusty squall as the storm arrived.

Some cloud shots taken during my little trip down Southland and South Otago. Not much good stuff as the weather was superb, but caught a glimpse of bubbling skies on the 24th after Dunedin.
