Hi Richard, are you sure it's a photo you're selecting? Extension .mht seems to be an archived web page format.

When you select 'Save As...' are you sure you're selecting JPEG or the above (as below)?

**Second-level domain name change**

Over the next few days, we'll be transitioning to a shorter domain name and omitting the '.org' as the domain has come up for renewal.

The new domain is http://www.weatherforum.nz/

Users may just have to re login while the change takes place. I'll be working to make sure this transition is seamless as possible.

Just a note Willoughby - the guest announcement at the top of the page contains a link to this post which is actually not accessible unless one logs in

Agreed, for some reason I also need to log in every time. Not sure why.

Yup I have the same issue. Usually I only have to login maybe once per week or something like that but it seems like every time I close my browser or the tab with the forum open I have to login again.

Yeah it's tiresome, every time I open up the new posts that I bookmark to I have to log back in. Even if it's the same browser window, not sure why, have tried deleting cookies etc, am assuming their may be a setting slightly different with the change.

Yep, seems like tapatalk has weatherforum.org.nz hardcoded in as the server address (or in some index that it accesses on a tapatalk maintained server behind the scenes). Cant' find a way to manually change it. Think it won't work till someone who maintains tapatalk makes an amemndment.

EDIT - I've emailed tapatalk support via the app to alert them of this.

It maybe more than a Tapatalk issue, its affecting me and I only access the forum via web browser on my PC. Since the domain name change I can't stay logged in to the forum even if I tick the "keep me logged in" box on the front page and keep the browser window open (as I always do). Each time I click on "new posts" I am taken to the log in screen again.

It seems very quiet in the forum since the change. Hopefully everyone is still able to actually log in?

I do get logged out all the time like everyone else though.

Will mentioned to me that there is an issue with Tapatalk that he cant resolve until they get in touch with him.

Hopefully enough people got the memo that there was a domain change!

Not sure why this logging out thing is happening but its bloody annoying.

It's usually a cookie problem that stops it remembering you're logged in.

I'd guess that the "cookie domain" in the board's settings hasn't been updated so the browser sets cookies with the new domain but the board tries to read them using the old one...

Well I've deleted the cookies more than once, which would have no effect if you are right & what you contributed makes sense. Now all we need is Willo to check, modify and hopefully it'll be resolved :)

That was the case with me as well up to a few days ago too. i then had to hunt around on google to find the forum again.

Its still a problem now for me. Each time I navigate away from the page, I have to log in again, even though I have the "keep me logged in" box ticked.

Tapatalk connectivity should be back within 24 hours - turns out an email address from 9 years ago doesn't work any more.

I will renew the .org.nz extension for another year to then set up a permanent redirect.

Apologies to anyone who did not experience a smooth transition!
