Both. However with re-registering, my password and name is already there.

Every so often I'll have to re-log in on my mobile phone, no set interval, have noted it's been anywhere from three weeks to five months since I last had to. No big deal, just puzzling. :-k

I’ve noticed a bug with attachments that I experience quite frequently, often the first time it doesn’t work at all after opening the file pop up and selecting a file, and you have to repeat the process (always works the second time)

Thank you for the report. I can have a look at this mid next month (going away without the computer).

I can replicate the issue now, will see if this can be fixed... but will update the board software first (hopefully this weekend).

The number online at the moment (09:50 on 29/4/24 your time) is 495 - where have they all come from? - it is usually no more than a handful.

I have noticed a big increase in the viewings of some of my posts in the last 2-3 weeks, so I guess this is why.

Could be a sudden escalation in unregistered Search Bots in recent weeks, or possibly a deliberate malicious targeting of this forum?

I've also noticed some recent lagging when loading pages, before getting this temporary 'General Error' alert this afternoon...

Forum has been slower here in the UK - always is a bit, here.

Numbers of guests have dropped drastically - perhaps they got bored!! Numbers below are for 5am on 1st May your time.

Forum has been running very slow for me for the past week or more, both on laptop and on fancy new phone.

Also, it seems I'm now being logged out on laptop after twelve hours.
I used to have to log in daily, now twice daily.

Phone keeps me logged in ok.

Unless there are lots of insomniacs in NZ in the early hours of Monday morning, it looks like the bots are back. Any idea who these 'guests' are?

The number of 'guests' keeps rising - this was from just after midnight your time today (21st March). Nice to see how popular the forum is!!!

They're bots and it's hard to ascertain it's purpose. They all have the exact same user agent string, but IP addresses are scattered from around the world.

I have added a Javascript challenge now to the site so block the suspicious traffic. This may or may not be temporary.

Thanks for your reply, Willoughby. I notice we know have a verification page that takes a few seconds to complete. The number of guests has plummeted!!
