Wednesday should see some Thunderstorm activity, esp. in Waikato!NZstorm wrote:Atmosphere over the Tasman Sea is marginaly unstable. Should see some decent cb blowups out there in the coming days, which will eventualy affect NZ.(hopefully)

WeatherOnline doesn't have it forecast for Auckland yet.
btw, these forecasts are better than MetServices. Honest.

Shouldn't that read effect Northland /Auckland etc as we'll just get this boring anticyclonic gloomy, drizzly rubbish down here from along the Canterbury Coast for the next week (and beyond??!!)

Thanks Steve W! Quite cool with the mammantis.
What is the exact link of these weather online forecasts for NZ?
And yes John, alot of rubbishy crud all along the coast here, although today is showing some patches of blue
Also, got my photo from THE PRESS, pretty awsome! Better than the on paper copy obviously. Framed and sitting on my wall.

Hope so

Might get something going, as long as these cumbersome highs don't hang around...
...but mind you it's April

With a High sitting just out to the East of NZ and Low pressure to our West the resulting N-NE flow will ensure we have a week of average to above average temps.
There are plenty of Thunderstorms in the mid Tasman Sea at the moment
but we are likely to get just light to moderate patchy rain reaching NZ.

By WE you must mean Weekend. Yes, looks like NW conditions possible.BlueSkies are forecasting a warm WE next WE
That low cloud will come back in on Ch tonight.
Moderate rain over Auckland but a clearance in the west. If this upper trough moves east of us this evening, it will move back in tomorrow. It will get so far and then start moving backwards.
