Kawerau getting the maximum
Kardeow again got the high according to the tv and yesterday too,What happened to KawaKawa in the bay of Islands they always used to get the high

Back from Hanmer. Not so warm up there as what I thort it may of been but quite pleasant anyway.
Another dry southerly change around 4pm here in ChCh cooling the temperature and clearing away what was a semi-unstable sky.
quite boring really
should be more dry southerlies this week as the anticyclone edges slowly towards us

The southerly change pretty much fizzled out over Canty. As John said, the 'semi-unstable' clouds cleared away. Coming back from the peninsula about 7PM, I could see what possibly could've been shower activity in the direction of Ashburton, but the 3PM radar showed nothing more than some light showers about the Rakaia mouth, and the 6PM radar showed nothing (apart from the regular blue patches about the mountains - obviously an error in the radar). Clear in Chch now.
